児童養護施設や里親家庭で育つ、保護者との離別や死別を経験した高校生や大学生が対象の【ビヨンドトゥモロー・サマーリトリート2025】。

全国から集まった若者たちが、4日間のプログラムを通して社会を知り、自分自身と向き合い、なりたい自分について考え、言葉にする発表会で、講評を務めさせていただきました。

生まれ育った家庭や環境は選べないかもしれないけれど、その環境をどのように捉え、何を目指し、挑戦するかで、未来は変わっていく。

緊張しながら一生懸命に思いを言葉にする若者たちに感銘を受けました。若者の意識の変化がもたらされるように、様々な人との出会いを通して、気づきや学びの機会を提供している本プログラムの意義を感じました。

Beyond Tomorrow Summer Retreat 2025 is for high school and college students who have experienced separation or bereavement from their guardians, growing up in foster homes or foster families.

I had the honor of serving as a reviewer for the presentations by young people from all over Japan who, through the four-day program, learned about society, confronted themselves, thought about who they wanted to be, and put their thoughts into words.

We may not be able to choose the family or environment in which we were born and raised, but how we perceive that environment, what we aim for, and the challenges we take on will change our future.

I was impressed by the young people who were nervous and trying their best to put their thoughts into words. I felt the significance of this program, which provides young people with opportunities to realize and learn through encounters with various people so that they can bring about a change in their awareness.
I sincerely support the future of these young people!
