アメリカン・スクール・イン・ジャパンで開催された【ASIJ Future Ready】というイベントにゲストスピーカーとしてお招きいただきました。

高校生たちが20人くらいのさまざまなプロフェッショナルを招いて、将来について考える企画です。私は米国大使館の女性外交官と共に、女性として公的機関でキャリアを積むことに対するディスカッションに参加しました。

今に至るまでの道のりや、政策実現に必要なことなど多岐にわたる積極的な質問の数々に刺激をもらいました。まずはなんでも挑戦してみることだと思います。自分のこれまでを振り返る意味でも、とても良い機会をいただきました。

I was invited as a guest speaker to an event called “Future Ready” at the American School in Japan.

This is a project where high school students think about their future by inviting about 20 professionals from various fields. I participated in a discussion with a female diplomat from the U.S. Embassy on the topic of pursuing a career in the public sector as a woman.

I was stimulated by the wide range of positive questions about how I got to where I am today and what it takes to make policies happen. I think the first step for them is to try anything. It was a great opportunity for me to look back on my past.
