区議会議員になってすぐの頃に取り組んだ案件に、マンションの耐震改修の要望がありました。

マンションにはさまざまな人が住み、さまざまな形で生活を営んでいます。
その方々の合意形成を図り、災害に備えた安心・安全な改修を行うためには、相当な時間や労力を要します。そういった長年の努力を超えて耐震改修を実施された結果が評価され、今回、日本建築防災協会の令和6年度耐震改修優秀建築賞の1つに世田谷区玉川サンケイハウスが選ばれました。

当時、本事業を担当された区の職員さん達が、住民の意向に寄り添って、諦めずに努力してくださったことも、こういった結果につながりました。今後さらなる耐震改修の普及につながると良いです。本当におめでとうございます。

Award for Excellence in Seismic Retrofitting of Buildings

One of the projects I worked on soon after becoming a city assembly member was a request for the seismic retrofitting of condominiums.

Many different people live in condominiums, and they lead their lives in various ways.
It takes a considerable amount of time and effort to build consensus among these people and to make safe and secure renovations in preparation for disasters. In recognition of the results of the seismic retrofitting that went beyond such years of effort, the Setagaya Tamagawa Sankei House was selected as one of the winners of the 2024 Seismic Retrofitting Excellence Building Award from the Japan Building Disaster Prevention Association.

The city officials who were in charge of this project at the time made efforts without giving up, in keeping with the wishes of the residents, which also contributed to these results. I hope this will lead to further spread of seismic retrofitting in the future. Congratulations!
