今回の対談では、昨日伺ったMegumi Matsukawaさんの個展でも展示されている、アルコールインクアートの魅力について語っていただきました。

実際に体験させていただき、アートといっても、「自然」と向き合うのと同じようにコントロールが効かず、描く人自身の心に向き合う事ができるジャンルであることを知りました。

また、出版されたばかりの、子どもに心を大切にすることを伝える絵本「心ってなぁに」についても語っていただきました。

会場として使わせていただいた下北沢にある「宙呑間」さんもお料理、飲み物が美味しく、本当に素敵なお店でした。

“What is Alcohol Ink Art?”

In this talk, we discussed the appeal of alcohol ink art, which was also featured in Megumi Matsukawa’s solo exhibition I visited yesterday.

I actually got to try it myself and learned that while it’s called art, it’s a genre where, much like facing nature, you can’t control it—it’s a technique that allows you to face your own heart.

We also talked about her newly published picture book, “What is the Heart?”, which teaches children to cherish their hearts.

The venue we used, “Sora no Ma” in Shimokitazawa, served delicious food and drinks and was truly a wonderful establishment.
