鹿児島では、知覧特攻平和会館にも行きました。
第二次世界大戦末期における、人類史上初めての特攻という作戦で、多くの若者の命が失われた現実を、貴重な展示や資料から学びました。当時を知っている方からのお話も伺い、国や世界の平和を守ることは簡単なことではなく、一人一人の意識の向上が必要なのだと思いました。

JR日本最南端の駅では、ちょうど電車が来た所に遭遇して嬉しかったです。

In Kagoshima, we visited the Chiran Peace Museum.
Through valuable exhibits and materials, we learned about the reality of the many young lives lost in the first suicide attack in human history at the end of World War II. We heard stories from a person who knew those days and realized that keeping peace in the country and the world is not an easy task and that each one of us needs to raise our awareness.
At the JR Japan Railway’s southernmost station, we ran into a train just as it was coming in.
