日本からフランスに渡った子ども家庭福祉研究者の安發明子（あわあきこ）さんと、フランスの児童相談所職員のフレデリック・ラファネルさんが来日され、子どもの家理事の早川悟司さんも加えて、フランスの実践を元にした講演がありました。

・子どもの最善の利益とウェルビーイングを社会的養護で実現する社会
・「困ったら相談」でなく「困らない」を実現する親支援、親子関係構築支援

など、日本とはあまりに違うアプローチに愕然としてしまいますが、やれることから少しずつ、理想に近づけていくしかないのだと思います。

Creating a society that does not make children’s upbringing and child rearing their own responsibility

Ms. Akiko Awa, a child and family welfare researcher who went to France from Japan, and Mr. Frédéric Raffanel, an employee of a child guidance center in France, visited Japan and gave a lecture based on French practice, joined by Mr. Satoshi Hayakawa, Director of Kodomo no Ie.

Parental support and support for building parent-child relationship are in need to realize “before getting in trouble” rather than “consult with them when in trouble.”

I was astonished at how different the approaches are from those in Japan, but I believe that we have no choice but to gradually move closer to the ideal, starting with what we can do.

I would like to recommend that those who are involved with children in Japan read the book “Child Upbringing and the Family in France.”
