外務省による、日米関係の次世代リーダーを育てる【カケハシプロジェクト】。今年も米国ロサンゼルスから、4名のリーダーたちが来日しました。

海外にも人気がある下北沢の街を案内し、京王電鉄や、小田急線上部、世田谷区のまちづくりの取り組みをご紹介。ボーナストラックでは、「鈴木成一書店」をやっていて、15000本の装丁を手がけられた、鈴木さんご本人ともお会いすることができました。

夜は、日本の議員との意見交換および交流会。お互いの国の文化や習慣を知り、学びを深めることができました。

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Kakehashi Project cultivates the next generation of leaders in Japan-U.S. relations. This year, four leaders from Los Angeles, U.S.A., visited Japan.

Guiding visitors through the internationally popular town of Shimokitazawa, introducing initiatives by Keio Electric Railway, Odakyu Electric Railway, and Setagaya City’s urban development efforts. At the Bonus Track, we visited Suzuki Seichi Shoten, where we met Mr. Suzuki himself—the man behind over 15,000 book designs.

In the evening, we held an exchange and networking session with Japanese politicians. This provided an opportunity to learn about each other’s cultures and customs, deepening their mutual understanding.
