近隣の3校の小学校が統合し、いずれも80年を超える歴史があった3校の文化を継承して開校した経緯を、6年生の子どもたちが紹介してくださいました。

さまざまなことに挑戦し、毎日学校に行くのが楽しくなるような工夫があることも教えていただきました。
下北沢の次世代を担う子どもたちが頼もしく見えました。

I had the honor of attending the 10th anniversary ceremony of the Shimokitazawa Elementary School.

Sixth-grade students introduced the school’s history: how it was formed by merging three neighboring elementary schools, each with over 80 years of history, to carry forward their respective cultures.

They also shared how the school encourages students to take on various challenges and implements thoughtful initiatives to make going to school enjoyable every day.

The children who will lead Shimokitazawa’s next generation seemed promising.
