利用を希望する全ての家庭が使えるようになるためには、まだまだ施設数が足りず、民間も力もお借りした民設民営の学童クラブを増やしているところです。

今日は、今年開設された民設民営放課後児童クラブ「みんぷれ上馬」さんを訪問させていただきました。
子どもたちが、のんびり思い思いに過ごす様子を拝見させていただき、手作りご飯やおやつの提供があることや、子どものやりたいことを応援する仕組み、地域とつながりを作る取り組みなどについて教えていただきました。

子どもの日常がより一層多忙になってきている中で、家でも学校でもない、第3の居場所として、子どもたちが自然体で過ごせる環境の大切さと、そういった場づくりのために頑張って働かれている職員さんたちの思いを実感することができました。

Setagaya City operates after-school clubs to create nurturing environments for children after school. To ensure all families who wish to use them can access them, the city still lacks sufficient facilities and is increasing the number of privately established and operated after-school clubs with the support of private entities.

Today, we visited the privately established and operated after-school club “Minpre Kamiuma,” which opened this year.
We observed the children spending their time at leisure and learned about the provision of homemade meals and snacks, the system supporting children’s interests, and initiatives to build connections with the local community.

Amidst children’s increasingly busy daily lives, we truly felt the importance of environments where children can be themselves—places that serve as a third space, neither home nor school—and the dedication of the staff working hard to create such spaces.
