国連大学で開催された、Guardian Girls International (GGI)とKoyamada International Foundation Japan (KIF Japan)共催の「Women in Peace: Strengthening Economies to Address Violence Against Women」というセミナーに参加させていただきました。

世界各国における女性が置かれる現状や、日本が遅れているとされる女性のリーダーシップなどについてのディスカッションには、メキシコや南アフリカの女性の大使なども登壇され、各国の違いについて具体的に知ることができ、多くの学びがありました。日本でもそれぞれがおかれた環境で、ロールモデルを作り、実践を重ねていく必要があるのだと思いました。

I attended the seminar “Women in Peace: Strengthening Economies to Address Violence Against Women” co-hosted by Guardian Girls International (GGI) and Koyamada International Foundation Japan (KIF Japan) at the United Nations University.

The discussion focused on the current situation of women in various countries around the world and women’s leadership, which Japan is said to be lagging behind in. I learned a lot from the discussion, and I believe that it is necessary for Japan to create role models and put them into practice in their own environment.
