フェンシングを始めたのが小学校高学年であることや、フェンシングという競技の魅力についてお話いただきました。メダルも持たせていただき、重さを実感しました。

区では10月に、小学生を対象にしたスマートフェンシング体験講座を開催予定です。子どもたちの可能性を広げるためにも、フェンシングを身近に感じられる機会が増えるよう期待しています。

I had the opportunity to sit in on a courtesy visit to the mayor by Mr. Sera Azuma, who won the bronze medal in the women’s fencing🤺fleuré team at the Paris Olympics.

She talked about how she started fencing in the upper grades of elementary school and the appeal of fencing as a sport. I was also allowed to hold her medal and felt its weight.

In October, the city plans to hold a smart fencing experience class for elementary school students. We hope to see more opportunities for children to become familiar with fencing in order to expand their potential.
