【第37回子ども将棋大会】が開催されました。
日頃から将棋や囲碁に励む子どもたちが、世田谷区内各地から集まり、熱戦を繰り広げました。
プロ棋士の方々もお越しになり、多面指しなどで指導をしてくださり、子どもたちが実力を知って更なる向上につながる良い機会となりました。
デジタルの時代だからこそ、会場いっぱいに駒音が響くこの大会の意味を改めて感じ、そのような場をボランティアで作り、これまで継続されてきたことに感銘を受けました。
こうした大会が今後も各地で開催され、将棋や囲碁の文化が次世代に継承されていくことを願っています。
The 37th Children’s Shogi Tournament was held.
Children who regularly practice shogi and go gathered from all over Setagaya and engaged in intense matches.
Professional shogi players also attended, providing instruction through activities such as simultaneous games, which gave the children a valuable opportunity to assess their skills and strive for further improvement.
Precisely because we live in the digital age, I was deeply moved by the significance of this tournament, where the sound of pieces clacking filled the venue, and by the fact that volunteers have created and sustained such an event over the years.
I hope that tournaments like this will continue to be held in various locations, ensuring that the culture of shogi and go is passed on to the next generation.
