I started note.

I posted the English and Japanese translations of Canadian Prime Minister Carney’s speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 20, 2026.

I was impressed by how he calmly and strongly spoke about what needs to be done now, grasping reality and looking to the future, rather than criticizing specific individuals or getting emotional.

I believe this speech is a milestone in international affairs. I hope many people will take the time to read the original text, rather than just excerpts from news reports, and think about it.
