本年は午年。
挑戦や発展を象徴する年とされ、歴史的には大きな転換点にもなった年だそうです。

今年は人間がAIとどのように向き合い、人間ならではの仕事を、誰とどのようにしていくのかが、今まで以上に問われる局面にくるのではないかと思っています。

日本政府の当初予算は、過去最大の122.3兆円となる予定で、歳出が税収を上回る状態がずっと続いており、プライマリーバランスの均衡に向けた歳出の抑制が必要とされます。

また世界一の超少子高齢社会である日本を担う現役世代が、人間ならではの役割を改めて見出し、次世代の幸せのために全力を尽くすことが重要であると感じます。

日本ほど平和で安全な状態を維持できる可能性をもつ国はなく、国際社会において、中和を得意分野とする日本が発揮すべき役割も大きいと考えます。

どんなにAIが発達しても、人間の1日は24時間、誰にでも平等です。

これまでたくさん時間をかけてやってきたことを改めて見直し、より意義深く、心が動くことに時間を費やすよう、努めていきたいです。

This year is the Year of the Horse.
It is said to symbolize challenge and development, and historically has often marked major turning points.

I believe this year will bring us to a point where we are challenged more than ever before to consider how humans will engage with AI, and how we will determine which jobs should uniquely be done by human and with whom we should perform them.

Japan’s initial government budget is projected to reach a record 122.3 trillion yen.
With expenditures consistently exceeding tax revenues, curbing spending to achieve a balanced primary balance is essential.

I feel it is crucial for Japan’s working generation, bearing the responsibility of the world’s most super-aging society with the lowest birthrate, to rediscover uniquely human roles and dedicate our full efforts to the happiness of the next generation.

No other nation holds such potential to maintain a state of peace and security as Japan does. Within the international community, Japan, with its expertise in mediation, has a significant role to play.

No matter how advanced AI becomes, a human day remains 24 hours, equally for everyone.
